Carve Carrbridge & The Carrbridge Gathering
THE SCOTTISH OPEN CHAINSAW CARVING CHAMPIONSHIP
As part of the 2008 Carrbridge Gathering the Scottish Open Chainsaw Carving Competition, or Carve Carrbridge as it is known, took take place on Saturday 30th August, on the village sports field. Top chainsaw carvers both from the UK and around the world, including entries from the USA, Australia and Germany, competed for the magnificent Claymore trophy and prize money. A day of family events including live music, activities, games, stalls and food & drink. Landmark Forest Heritage Park was the main event sponsor.
2008 Results:
> 1st - Pete Bowsher with "Midnight Hour"
> 2nd - Brett McLean (USA) with "Horse"
> 3rd - Iain Chalmers with "Labrador & Pheasant"
